Medical Test Sites (MTS) Rules in Progress

Rules in Progress

The rules writing process is open to the public. The public is welcome to take part in helping us write rules. Rules are also known as regulations, Washington Administrative Code, or WAC. The rule-making process includes public notices and workshops, and usually a public hearing before a rule becomes final.

Current Rules in Progress

The Department of Health has filed a CR-103, which is the notice of permanent rule adoption, for qualifications of laboratory directors and testing personnel of facilities holding a Provider Performed Microscopic Procedures (PPMP) Medical Test Site (MTS) license.

The CR-103 document includes the permanent rule language (PDF).

The Post Adoption Notice (PDF) document includes the department’s responses to comments provided during the public comment period.

This rule will go into effect on June 13, 2024.
